Skilled Maintenance Operative

King Edward's School and King Edward VI High School for Girls are looking to recruit a Skilled Maintenance Operative. The candidate’s main skill should be carpentry, but they must also be competent in carrying out basic work in other trade areas such as plumbing, building and electrics, and complete the work to an agreed standard and timescale. In addition, they will be expected to offer assistance to the Portering team and other Facilities staff when required. The successful candidate will report to the Facilities Manager.

Salary: Circa £16,000 per annum
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
Type of position: Permanent, full-time, all year round
Hours: 37 per week: Monday to Thursday 6.00am-2.30pm; Friday 6.00am-2.00pm (including a one-hour unpaid lunch break)
Start date: Immediate start
